MASTER CLASS WITH DAVID MATZ
“A Different Approach to Conflict in Organizations”
Conflict inside organizations is unlike other kinds of conflict we experience. Many of these disputes take place in the hallway or the parking lot, in person, via email, or on the telephone. Using videos, exercises, and maybe a mini-lecture, this workshop will focus on how this conflict is different – and what that means for interveners, parties, and more or less innocent bystanders.
David Matz has been active in conflict resolution for more than 30 years, mediating, training, and teaching. He has been director of the Graduate Programs in Dispute Resolution at the University of Massachusetts/Boston since 1986 and a law professor there since 1973. In 1989-90, Matz was Fulbright Professor of Law at the University of Tel Aviv.
