MetroWest Mediation Services (MWMS) will be holding a 35-hour Basic Mediation Training in December 2014. This is a course for people who are interested in joining our volunteer mediator roster and mediating with us in one or more of the district courts we serve (Framingham, Natick, Concord and Marlborough).

Trainees who successfully complete the training and who are compatible with the MWMS approach will be offered a free of charge practicum in one (or more) of the courts we serve.

Upon successful completion of the practicum the mediators will be invited to join the MWMS mediator roster. Prospective volunteers agree to commit themselves to attend a minimum of one court session per month for at least one year.

To be accepted into the training, a short interview and references will be required.

Course dates are December 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th and 10th, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (storm date is December 12) in Framingham. Training fee is $400, which includes meals and materials. There is no additional fee for the practicum for our trainees.

ENROLL EARLY! Space in the training is limited to 12. Registrants who cancel before November 16 will receive a full refund. Late cancellations will be refunded only if space is filled.
