Negotiating Your Career: ADR Webinar & Workshop Series/MWI

  • 27 Jul 2016
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • MWI, 10 Liberty Square - 4th Floor, Boston, MA 02109

Are you unsure what you want to do next professionally (or “when you grow up”)? What impact do you ultimately want to have on the world, and what kind of work-life balance do you dream of? Even if you know, how will you achieve these aspirations, especially if they require a major professional shift?

This webinar and workshop will provide a framework to answer these questions, turning the often chaotic, discouraging and overwhelming process of career development into one of choice and control. Whether you want to advance in an organization or land that dream engagement as a freelancer, you have an edge as an interest-based ADR professional and negotiation specialist. Building your career is the product of interactions with people—would be employers, colleagues, clients and advisors (not firms or departments)—the intersection of career and negotiation.

MWI's ADR Webinar & Workshop Series is an exciting new initiative designed to engage, educate and inspire mediators and other ADR professionals. Each topic will be offered as a one hour webinar followed by an optional intensive skill building workshop onsite at MWI.

The online webinars are priced at $45 per person (no charge for active MWI mediators*) while the onsite workshop costs $325 per person (or $275 for active MWI mediators). To attend the one day workshop remotely via video link, registration is offered at a reduced price of $150 per person (or $125 for active MWI mediators).

The upcoming Negotiating Your Career webinar will take place on July 27 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and the onsite workshop will be held on October 18 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Both will be led by Tad Mayer and Justin Wright, co-authors of the soon to be released book, Own the Job Hunt. The in person workshop will be held at MWI's office in downtown Boston. Click here for more information and registration, or contact Chuck Doran at 617-895-4026 or cdoran@mwi.org.
